The Award is founded in the belief that an open and honest dialogue about sexual health, especially among young people, is essential to improving the poor state of sexual health in America. Rose’s article “The State of the Sexual Union” is recognized by an esteemed panel of judges, including former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders and GOOD Magazine Editor-in-Chief Zach Frechette, as truly reflecting the ideals of this award.
